While I realize ruffles and basketball don’t necessarily mix, I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a good pun 😂
If you didn’t already know this, I was a Sports Media major in college. So, I get really excited when big tournaments like NCAA March Madness and the Masters Championship comes around. Both just so happen to be in the spring, which also brings out the most girly side of me. When I saw this ruffle top I thought it was so unique with the collar, the ruffle sleeves and the overall fit. Also, I’m seeing blue and white stripes all over the place right now! I thought to myself, “why not try something a lil different.”
I love the oversized fit of this top, but I’m so glad I sized down as there’s so much extra fabric. I would probably drown in it if I had gotten a small. I paired this top with a pop of pink, both in the earrings and bag. Altogether, I think this look is perfect for the stepping into spring.
Did any of you fill out a March Madness Bracket this year?! I do one almost every year with my family and this year I think I’m bringing home all the marbles. Check out my bracket below.
As my career now revolves around college students and helping them land job and internships, I can’t help but think of my previous career as a media relations specialist in the golf industry. I do miss working in the sports world every now and then, but I do not miss all the travel and working 60+ hours a week.
I’ve been thinking of adding a sports series to my blog since it was such a big part of me. Would that be something ya’ll would be interested in reading? Tell me your thoughts in the comments section. I’d love to hear your feedback.
Happy Hump Day, loves!
