One thing I absolutely love about being a blogger is the amazing people I get to meet along the way.
Nikki Smith is one of those people!
What started from a bar conversation between my husband and her best guy friend has now blossomed into a beautiful friendship. While we have yet to meet in person, as she’s in Dallas and I’m in Denver, I still feel so blessed to know this incredibly hardworking woman. Her custom jewelry designs are beyond perfection! I spent hours flipping through the pages of her website in complete awe of her creativity. I fell in love with her Howlite collection (I have a slight obsession with this stone) and I receive so many compliments every time I wear them. She definitely has an eye for creating beautiful jewelry!
Be sure to check out her website, nikkismithdesigns.com for more to-die-for gems.
A Creative, Personal Proces
Nikki says it best on her website that designing her pieces is the “most creative and personal process.” I feel the exact same way about my blog. What started out as a hobby, something to do during a spout of unemployment, has turned into something I am extremely proud of. The creativity I’ve found in putting together looks, taking pictures and writing content is unmatched to any job I’ve ever had.
In the next few weeks you’ll see a completely new site design, new content and new logo. I’ve finally decided to get a little personal and talk about the story behind my blog name. While I’m nervous, I’m equally excited to share the story that has shaped me into the woman I am today. So, be on the lookout for a complete renovation of the blog. I can’t wait for you to see it!
